I’m a website designer and hold a master's degree in design, but I also spend six classes a week in a studio just like yours.

I grew up dancing, and while my real talent turned out to be in design instead, I've kept dancing for fun, switching to a studio that focuses on adult dancers. I've been involved behind the scenes many times, designing posters, costumes, and programmes (both paper and online!).

I get the magic of what you do. The utter joy of moving your body, clearing your mind of everything except the choreography, and being immersed in a passionate community is incomparable. I understand the confidence you build in your students and how dance transforms people — whether they're 4 or 94. Most of us will never be professionals, but we do it for pure love, and that's amazing.

But I’m also aware of the reality behind the scenes — how much admin and marketing is required to keep a studio running smoothly, and how your website should be supporting that mission, not adding to your workload.
